Die US-amerikanische Jazzsängerin Lori Williams aus Washington, D.C., kommt seit 2012 regelmäßig nach Poysdorf und begeistert jedes Jahr aufs Neue mit ihrer außergewöhnlichen Stimme und ihrer mitreißenden Bühnenpräsenz. Sie ist bereits ein fixer Bestandteil der „Jazz & Wine“-Familie, und Poysdorf ist für sie längst zu einer „zweiten Heimat“ geworden.
Mit großer stilistischer Vielfalt bewegt sich Lori Williams souverän zwischen Jazz und Gospel. Ihre ausdrucksstarken Interpretationen berühren tief und entführen das Publikum in eine Welt voller Klangfarben und Emotionen. Als Sängerin, Tänzerin und Schauspielerin überzeugte sie unter anderem im erfolgreichen US-Musical Bessie’s Blues.
Begleitet wird sie von einer erstklassigen Band, deren Mitglieder seit vielen Jahren als Dozenten bei den Poysdorfer Jazz-Workshops tätig sind.

Eine grandiose, internationale Formation eröffnet die Herbstsaison in unserem Jubiläumsjahr!
Die fünf Musiker aus Österreich, Slowenien und Serbien waren hier schon mehrfach zu hören, sie verstehen sich musikalisch bestens. Ihre Verbindung seit Jahrzehnten entstand an der Hochschule Graz und ging über zur starken Wiener Szene. Kein Wunder, dass die charismatische Sängerin aus Washington DC Lori Williams auf das eingespielte Quintett baut.
Aus Gospel, Blues und Jazz formte sie ihre ausstrahlende Präsenz auf der Bühne mit unverwechselbarer, aus der Tiefe dieser Traditionen kommenden Stimme. Joris Dudli, Bernhard Wiesinger und Renato Chicco lebten und arbeiteten lange in NYC, Christian Havel und Milan Nikolić pflegen eine intensive Tourtätigkeit in Bands aus Amerika.
Hier hören Sie ein weiteres Beispiel der gelungenen Verbindung europäisch-amerikanischer Zusammenarbeit, in der melodische Rafinesse und swingende Rhythmen eine wunderbare Einheit bilden!
